This price cannot be beaten anywhere on the web, or at any brick and mortar store. Hope this is running a special christmas sale, with 35 percent off the Nikon D7000. I had to go through the same learning process when I went from shooting film to digital and thought it was a nightmare. Please don't take offense at what I'm saying here. If you still have questions post them here and someone can help you. If you need more information on using the camera functions you can find it in third party books, CD's, and tutorials on line. I get good shots with very little or no noise. For low light shooting I use either a 35mm, f/1.8 or a 50mm, f/1.8 on my D90 with an ISO of 850 or 1000. But white balance is something you will need to get into as you learn the functions of the camera. What kind of low light are you shooting in, natural light, indoor incandescent, fluorescent? For now set the white balance on Auto and let the camera make the corrections. Start shooting and experiment with f/stops and ISO settings to see which combinations give you the best results for the light you are shooting in. In the A Mode the camera will select the shutter speed.
For now, I would recommend setting the mode dial on "A" (Aperture), set the f/stop on the lowest setting and the ISO on 850 or 1000. You have no control over the camera exposure, except for the ISO, and are unable to make changes to correct any problems. If you are trying to shoot low light in "Auto" mode then you are severely handicapped. Low light shooting is as much, if not more, about the lens. Also, what lens are you using? It's not listed in your profile. Do you know the difference between all the shooting modes, what they do and how they do it? That's a good place to start. To consistently get good pictures from your camera you need to know it's functions from start to finish to the point you know what changes to make and can make then in a matter of moments.
